Champlain Valley Cardiology, PC has been serving the people of the North Country since January of 2005. Northern New York has the unfortunate distinction of having some of the highest rates of death and disability from cardiovascular disease in the United States. In an effort to reduce the adverse impact of heart disease in our region, Champlain Valley Cardiology, PC was formed to deliver interventional (angioplasty) cardiology care to our area. Angioplasty has been shown to reduce the death rate and improve the quality of life of patients suffering from coronary artery disease.
Dr. Tim Garrand, a native of Mooers, NY started the practice to provide a much needed service to the area. Interventional Cardiology is a service that patients had to travel to Burlington or Albany to receive before Dr. Garrand returned to the North Country. Since 2005 the Physicians of Champlain Valley Cardiology have provided angioplasty and other related interventional cardiovascular services.
Dr. Garrand was the lone interventional cardiologist at Champlain Valley Cardiology, PC until April of 2006 when Dr. William Bradley joined the practice. Dr. Bradley also has roots in New York State; he joined Champlain Valley Cardiology, PC after practicing for 18 years at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire where he was one of the founders of the New England Heart Institute. Eric A. Gauthier,MD came to CVC,PC in July of 2009 after completing his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Fletcher Allen Health Care/The University of Vermont. Dr. Gauthier is a native Vermonter and received his medical degree as well as his postgraduate training in Burlington. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Garrand, Dr. Bradley and Dr. Gauthier share a philosophy of providing the best care available to the population of Northeastern New York State.
Jennifer Miller RPA-C, a native of this area, joined CVC, PC in early 2006 after working in family practice, Deborah Kampschror, RPA-C joined the group in 2009.
